An Uprising of Kindness |
Visitors to Hampton Court Garden Show this July will have seen the Silver Medal winning garden 'An Uprising of Kindness' created by Bill Butterworth and inspired by the founding of the Emmaus Movement. Companions and volunteers from West Anglia College have worked with Bill and his team over the past few weeks and have tried to use mainly recycled materials throughout the garden. The garden will be re-created at the Emmaus Cambridge community with work starting in the autumn and we are very excited about this. Follow this link http://www.rhs.org.uk/Shows-Events/Hampton-Court-Palace-Flower-Show/2010/Gardens/A-to-Z/An-Uprising-of-Kindness to the website which gives a panormaic view of the garden for those people who cannot visit the show.

Emmaus International Salon |
A group of Companions and staff has just returned from the Salon Sale which took place on June 20th at the Paris Expo. Communities from all over the world came together to raise money to support the work of Emmaus International. The weekend is a great opportunity to meet Companions from other Communities and form new friendships and bonds whilst working to support those people in the world who have less than we do. The sale was also featured on French television! http://videos.tf1.fr/jt-we/le-salon-emmaus-une-titanesque-bonne-oeuvre-a-paris-5886208.html
